Raisa was raised by both their parents living at Los Angeles, California. Irlanda Almendarez, her sister As is Italia Almendarez. Francia is the Italian term for France. In the same fashion, Irlanda is Ireland in Italian and Italia is the Italian word that means Italy. Virginia Almendarez's mother is Mexican while Renan Almendarez comes from Honduras. Renan began using the nickname El Cucuy just a few days after Francia was born. Renan is an infamous radio host and prominent Latino DJ from Los Angeles. Francia and her two sisters have been raised in the house of a famous father. Francia is fluent in Spanish as well as English. Francia began taking dance lessons at the age of five. Parents were the ones responsible for enrolling her. These classes did not focus on one type of dance. The dance styles were all taught, such as tap dancing and Polynesian and hip-hop. Karate was among her interests in athletics along with ice skating, as well as other kinds of sports. While in junior high Francia also took acting and modeling classes.
